Owning a lodge at Homestead is designed to be simple, transparent and enjoyable from the outset.

Whether you are looking for a peaceful retreat, a second home or a place to spend more time in the countryside, our approach is straightforward: no pressure, clear information and the freedom to make a confident decision at your own pace.

A Privately-Owned, Like-Minded Community

All lodges at Homestead are privately owned. 

We do not operate a subletting scheme, and lodges are not purchased as rental investments. This helps maintain a quiet, respectful environment where owners can relax and enjoy their surroundings.

The park is particularly suited to those aged 50+, creating a calm and friendly atmosphere with like-minded neighbours.

What You Own

When you purchase a lodge at Homestead:

  • You own the lodge itself
  • The park retains ownership of the land
  • You are granted a 40-year renewable licence to keep your lodge on its plot 

This structure is standard across well-managed holiday lodge parks and provides long-term security, while allowing the park to maintain its high standards.

A Straightforward, Transparent Approach

Buying a lodge should feel clear and reassuring – not complicated or uncertain. 

At Homestead:

  • All purchase costs are explained before you commit
  • You receive key documents early, including:
    • Licence agreement
    • Park rules
    • Ownership responsibilities
  • There are no hidden extras 

Site fees, utilities and ongoing costs are always discussed openly, so you can make a fully informed decision.

Open for Most of the Year

Homestead is open for 11 months of the year, closing for a short period (28 days) in February. 

For the rest of the year, you are free to enjoy your lodge whenever and for however long you choose.
